be/fall ill

生病

“生病”的英文和“生”(be born)并沒有關(guān)系，可以用be ill或fall ill來表示。

I am ill and not feeling well.

我生病了，感覺不太舒服。

A:Are you all right?

你還好嗎?

B:I fell ill.

我生病了。

“病了”除了可以用ill表示外，還可以用sick

所以“生病”就可以說成be/fall sick

要想直譯“發(fā)燒”并不容易，要記住它是用have a fever來表示的。

定期檢查

“定期的”就是regular，而“檢查”可以表示為checkup，所以“定期檢查”的英文表達直接翻譯過來就行。

Mary went to hospital to have a regular checkup yesterday.

瑪麗昨天去醫(yī)院做定期檢查了。

A:Do you need to do a regular checkup tomorrow?
