實際上“I'm sold”的英文釋義是：

When you are convinced of / by something.

 

也就是說

I'm sold 中文意思其實是「我被說服了」

 

 

為什么會這樣呢？

因為 sell 除了常見的“賣；售賣”之外

還有一個意思是“說服；使接受”

在日常的口語表達(dá)中也很常見。

 

英文釋義：to persuade someone that an idea or plan is a good one and likely to be successful

 

比如

相對的，“I'm not sold”

也別翻譯成“我沒有被賣”。

它的正確意思是

「我沒有被說服，我不相信」

英文釋義：I don't believe you. / I don't believe it.
