我們知道zero表示數(shù)字“0”，
但老外說“The answer is zero”，
可不是說“答案是0”哦~
那是什么意思呢？

這個習(xí)語用的是它的引申義，
答案是零，
也就是啥都沒有，
所以就是白忙一場、徒勞無功。
比如：
No matter how hard you try on this matter, the answer is zero.
在這件事上無論你如何努力，都是徒勞無功。
The answer is zero because of a small mistake in my work.
因為工作上出了一個小紕漏，所以白忙一場了。

不想理睬
小伙伴們可要注意了，
“talk to the hand”
可不是和手聊天，
其實它并沒有表示聊天，
而是指你不愿意繼續(xù)聽對方說，
或者拒絕聽對方的話，
不想理睬別人。
比如：
-Jane, I saw a very good movie last. It talked about......
-Talk to the hand, I'm sick of it.
-簡，我昨天晚上看了一部非常棒的電影，它講的是......
-不想理你，我真的煩透了你的電影解說。
