1. Moon away：虛度時(shí)光 例如：Don't moon away the Mid-autumn Festival. 找點(diǎn)事兒做吧，不要虛度了中秋佳節(jié)哦。
2. Over the moon：欣喜若狂。 例如：She is over the moon about the two holidays. 連著兩個(gè)節(jié)假日，她高興極了。
3. Aim/level at the moon：想入非非， 野心太大。 例如：Don's aim at the moon.不要想入非非 （要腳踏實(shí)地）哦~
4. As changeable as the moon：象月亮一樣善變，反復(fù)無(wú)常，Exactly！用月亮來(lái)比喻善變還真是貼切呢。 例如：What can I do with her? She is as changeable as the moon. 她反復(fù)無(wú)常，我真拿她沒(méi)辦法。
5. Bark/bay at the moon/bay the moon 空嚷嚷，徒勞，枉費(fèi)心機(jī)。 狗有時(shí)會(huì)對(duì)著月亮吠叫，借以嚇唬月亮，可是無(wú)論它再怎么兇猛咆哮都只是白費(fèi)力氣而已，后來(lái)人們就用 bay the moon 或 bark at the moon 來(lái)比喻“空嚷，徒勞，無(wú)事空擾”。
6.Cast beyond the moon. 癡心妄想；胡亂猜測(cè)， 想入非非。
7 Cover oneself with the moon. 露宿（指流浪漢與失業(yè)者）。 這句英語(yǔ)諺語(yǔ)與中文中的“以天為被，以地為席”有異曲同工之妙，都是指“露宿”。
8. Cry / ask / wish for the moon. 想做辦不到的事情， 想要得不到的東西。 不要向別人 ask for the moon了，辦不到啊。
9. Once in a blue moon：極少；千載難逢。 “blue moon”本意指“一個(gè)月中的第二次滿月”，據(jù)推算，這種天文現(xiàn)象至少要相隔32個(gè)月才會(huì)出現(xiàn)一次，也算很罕見(jiàn)了。 因而日常生活中，人們常用“once in a blue moon”來(lái)形容機(jī)會(huì)難得，千載難逢。
10. Pay/offer the moon：支付一大筆款項(xiàng)。 月亮本是可望而不可得的，竟想要買下來(lái)，那豈不是要“天價(jià)”！
11.Promise somebody the moon. 對(duì)某人作無(wú)法兌現(xiàn)的許諾。
